ELIGIBILITY AND INFORMATION
The Model A Youth Restoration Award is available to any member of MAFCA or MARC, or a child or grandchild of MAFCA or MARC members who meet all of the other requirements.
Do I have to belong to a MARC Region or MAFCA chapter?
Generally, yes. However, if you live in a place where the nearest Region or Chapter is more than a reasonable driving distance from your home, then we will get another MARC or MAFCA member to verify your project, otherwise you have to belong to the local club. Contact Mr. Bob Moore
I am 21 years old, Am I eligible for a Restoration Award?
Yes, providing that you are not 22 on May 31 of the award year.
I have won the award before, can I apply again?
Yes, as long as you meet the age requirements and haven't completed your restoration project.
Can girls also apply?
Absolutely, in fact we have had many girls get the award.
Can the youth restoring the Model A get help on the project.
Certainly and we encourage help from others, especially from fellow club members especially those who are experts in the restoration process. The President of your local club must be able to certify that you are in the process of restoring your Model A when you apply for an award.
My state does not issue titles to minors, so the title is in my father’s name. Can I still apply for a Restoration Award?
Yes. As long as the holder of the title will certify that the Model A will become your car and that when you become of age and are eligible to drive, the car’s title will be transferred to you.
I want to make a donation to support the Restoration Award. How do I do this?
